Please tell us briefly about your role in the company / at your organization

I work as an Educational Methodologist and Teacher at Kremenchuk Higher Vocational School No. 7. My responsibilities include developing educational and methodological resources, supporting teachers in the implementation of innovative teaching practices, coordinating professional development activities, and promoting digital transformation in education. I teach Professional Ethics, Job Search Techniques, and Fundamentals of Media Literacy. A key focus of my work is the integration of digital technologies into teaching and learning. Artificial Intelligence has become an essential part of my lesson design, helping to create interactive learning materials, develop students’ digital competencies, foster critical thinking, and prepare learners for the challenges of the modern digital world.

Your interest in STEM

When & how was your interest in STEM born?

My interest in STEM developed gradually throughout my career in education. As a teacher and educational methodologist, I have always been interested in innovative approaches that help learners acquire practical skills and prepare for the demands of a rapidly changing world. The growing role of technology in education encouraged me to explore digital tools and their potential for enhancing teaching and learning.

Over the years, my interest expanded from educational technologies to media literacy, digital competence, and artificial intelligence. Today, STEM is an integral part of my professional activities. I actively integrate digital technologies and AI tools into lesson design, educational projects, and methodological work. I believe that STEM education empowers learners to think critically, solve real-world problems, and confidently navigate the opportunities and challenges of the digital age.

Who was your first role model, and who are your current role models?

My first role models were my teachers and mentors, who inspired me through their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to lifelong learning. They showed me that education has the power to transform lives and open new opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Today, my role models are educators, innovators, and technology leaders who promote digital transformation and make knowledge accessible to everyone. I am particularly inspired by professionals who successfully integrate technology and artificial intelligence into education while maintaining a human-centered approach to teaching. Their work motivates me to continue learning, embracing innovation, and helping learners develop the skills they need for the future.

Your studies

Your biggest challenges (SWOT), during your studies?

During my studies, one of the biggest challenges was adapting to constant change and keeping pace with new knowledge, technologies, and educational approaches. I learned that success is not only about academic achievement but also about resilience, curiosity, and a willingness to learn throughout life.

My strengths were determination, responsibility, and a genuine passion for education and innovation. Throughout my professional journey, I have continued to expand my knowledge through lifelong learning, professional development, and active participation in international educational initiatives. One of the most valuable opportunities has been my involvement in Junior Achievement programs and the EU Code Week initiative. These experiences enabled me to strengthen my digital skills, explore coding and emerging technologies, exchange ideas with educators from different countries, and discover innovative approaches to teaching. They inspired me to integrate digital technologies, media literacy, and artificial intelligence into the educational process, helping learners develop the competencies needed to succeed in the modern world.

Your advice to girls and women who want to follow their studies in your sector?

My advice to girls and women is to believe in their abilities and never be afraid to explore new opportunities in STEM, technology, and digital innovation. These fields are not defined by gender but by curiosity, creativity, perseverance, and a willingness to learn.

Do not be discouraged by stereotypes or challenges. Every new skill you acquire builds your confidence and opens new possibilities for personal and professional growth. Seek mentors, participate in educational initiatives, collaborate with others, and embrace lifelong learning. The future of technology needs diverse perspectives, and women have an important role to play in shaping a more innovative, inclusive, and sustainable world.

We actively support digital inclusion through the integration of innovative technologies, media literacy, coding activities, and artificial intelligence in education. Through initiatives such as EU Code Week, digital skills workshops, and career-oriented activities, we encourage girls and young women to explore STEM fields and develop confidence in technology. We also foster a culture of respect, collaboration, lifelong learning, and social responsibility, helping learners become active and responsible members of society.

What are you most proud of having achieved in your work?

I am most proud of helping educators and learners successfully adapt to the digital transformation of education. As an Educational Methodologist and Teacher, I have developed innovative learning materials, introduced digital tools into the educational process, and supported teachers in adopting modern teaching approaches.

One of my greatest achievements has been integrating digital technologies, media literacy, and artificial intelligence into teaching and learning. Through my involvement in initiatives such as EU Code Week and other professional development activities, I have encouraged both educators and learners to develop digital competencies, critical thinking skills, and confidence in using emerging technologies. Seeing learners become more engaged, creative, and prepared for the future is the most rewarding part of my work.

How can technology empower women?

Technology empowers women by providing access to education, knowledge, professional opportunities, and global networks regardless of geographic location or background. Digital tools enable women to learn new skills, build careers, start businesses, and participate more actively in social and economic life.

In education, technology helps create equal opportunities for learning and professional growth. Emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, allow women to develop digital competencies, strengthen their confidence, and prepare for future careers in STEM and other innovative fields. I believe that technology is not only a tool for progress but also a powerful driver of inclusion, independence, and empowerment for women around the world.

Your advice to girls and women who want to work in your sector?

My advice to girls and women who want to work in education, digital technologies, and STEM is to be curious, confident, and open to continuous learning. Do not be afraid to step outside your comfort zone, explore new technologies, and embrace innovation. Every skill you develop today can open new opportunities tomorrow.

Technology and artificial intelligence are transforming the world, and women have an important role to play in shaping this future. Believe in your abilities, seek opportunities for growth, participate in professional communities and international initiatives, and never let stereotypes limit your ambitions. What would you like to happen when it comes to DEIS in your sector by 2030?

By 2030, I would like to see education become even more inclusive, equitable, and accessible for everyone, regardless of gender, background, location, or individual circumstances. Every learner should have equal opportunities to develop digital skills, explore STEM fields, and benefit from innovative technologies.

I hope to see more girls and women actively participating in STEM, digital education, and technology-related careers, supported by strong mentorship networks and equal opportunities for professional growth. I would also like artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to be used responsibly to reduce barriers, personalize learning, and create more inclusive educational environments. My vision is a future where diversity is valued, inclusion is a reality, and every learner is empowered to reach their full potential.

I also aim to contribute to creating more inclusive and innovative learning environments where every learner has the opportunity to succeed. I see these challenges not as obstacles, but as opportunities for continuous growth, innovation, and positive impact in education.

By 2030, how do you hope your career will have grown or evolved?

By 2030, I hope to have further strengthened my role as an educational leader, innovator, and advocate for digital transformation in education. I would like to continue supporting teachers and learners in developing digital competencies, media literacy, and responsible use of artificial intelligence, while contributing to the modernization of teaching and learning practices.

I also hope to expand my involvement in international educational initiatives, build stronger professional networks, and share best practices with educators from different countries. Most importantly, I would like my work to have a lasting impact by helping create an inclusive, innovative, and future-oriented educational environment where learners are well prepared for the opportunities and challenges of the digital age.
