My interest in STEM grew significantly when I started teaching Computer Science. Working with students, exploring new technologies, programming, robotics, and digital tools showed me how STEM can inspire creativity, critical thinking, and innovation. This experience motivated me to continuously learn, integrate modern technologies into education, and encourage students to pursue STEM-related fields.

Please tell us briefly about your role in the company / at your organization
I am a Vice Principal and Computer Science Teacher at a secondary school. My responsibilities include coordinating educational activities, supporting teachers’ professional development, and teaching computer science and digital technologies to students.
Your interest in STEM
My first role models were innovative teachers who inspired me with their passion for learning and teaching. Today, I look up to educators and pioneers who have promoted robotics and STEM education in Ukraine, helping young people develop creativity, problem-solving skills, and an interest in technology.
Your studies
My biggest challenge was the limited availability of technology and robotics equipment. However, this motivated me to be resourceful, seek alternative learning opportunities, and develop strong problem-solving skills.
My advice to girls and women who want to pursue studies in STEM is simple: keep moving forward and believe in your abilities. Do not be afraid of challenges or stereotypes. Stay curious, keep learning, and take every opportunity to develop your skills. STEM offers endless possibilities to innovate, solve real-world problems, and make a positive impact on society.
You at work
Our organization supports DEIS principles through participation in educational projects and competitions, as well as through STEM-based learning activities. We use technology and hands-on projects in the classroom to provide inclusive learning opportunities and help all students develop their skills and confidence.
What I am most proud of in my work is inspiring students to become interested in technology, STEM, and lifelong learning. Seeing their enthusiasm, curiosity, and willingness to explore new ideas is my greatest achievement. It is especially rewarding when students gain confidence, participate in projects and competitions, and discover their own potential.
Your point of view
Technology opens doors to flexible remote work, high-quality online education, and global networking. It gives women the tools to start their own businesses, gain financial independence, and have a stronger voice in modern society.
My main advice is to never let the stereotype that tech is a ‘male-dominated field’ hold you back. Continuous learning is key: embrace curiosity, start with the basics of coding or digital literacy, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes—that is how we grow in this field. Find a community or a mentor, share your knowledge with others, and remember that your unique perspective is exactly what the tech industry needs to innovate.
My vision for 2030 is a tech and education sector defined by true accessibility and equal opportunity. I would like to see systemic barriers removed so that teaching digital skills, coding, and cybersecurity becomes universally inclusive, empowering a diverse next generation of tech leaders regardless of their gender or background.

My future challenges center on managing rapid digital transformation while ensuring absolute cybersecurity and data privacy. In a constantly evolving tech landscape, the goal is to successfully guide others through change, bridge the digital divide, and maintain high standards of digital literacy and safety amidst shifting global standards.
By 2030, I hope my career will have grown into a senior leadership position centered on digital transformation and innovation. I aim to head strategic projects that bridge the gap between emerging technologies and practical application, ensuring that digital tools are used securely, equitably, and effectively to empower communities and modernize organizational infrastructure.
