Your organization field and mission

Bytkiv Lyceum is a public educational institution that provides quality education and prepares students for life in a rapidly changing digital world. Our mission is to empower learners with knowledge, critical thinking, digital skills, and responsible citizenship. We promote innovation, inclusion, STEM education, and lifelong learning while creating opportunities for every student to discover and develop their potential.

Please tell us briefly about your role in the company / at your organization

I am a Mathematics and Computer Science teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience. I design engaging learning experiences that combine mathematics, digital technologies, media literacy, STEM, and real-life problem solving. I also serve as a certified teacher mentor and supervisor, an expert in mathematics teacher certification, and a coordinator of international educational projects. Through innovative teaching practices, I help students develop digital competencies, creativity, critical thinking, and confidence in using technology.

Your interest in STEM

My interest in STEM began in childhood through a love of mathematics, problem-solving, and curiosity about how things work. As a teacher, I discovered the power of connecting mathematics with technology and real-world challenges. Over the years, I integrated robotics, coding, 3D printing, digital tools, and project-based learning into my lessons. Seeing students become more engaged, creative, and confident inspired me to further develop STEM education and encourage more young people, especially girls, to explore science and technology careers.

My first role models were my teachers. They inspired me with their dedication, kindness, and ability to motivate students even in challenging circumstances. Today, my role models are educators, innovators, and leaders who use technology and education to create positive change. I am particularly inspired by teachers who promote STEM education, lifelong learning, inclusion, and equal opportunities for all students. Their example encourages me to keep learning, growing, and supporting others on their educational journey.

Your studies

Strengths: Strong interest in mathematics, perseverance, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
Weaknesses: Limited access to modern technologies and educational resources during my early studies.
Opportunities: Higher education, professional development programs, international projects, and digital learning opportunities.
Threats: Rapid technological changes and the need to continuously update knowledge and skills.
Despite these challenges, I viewed every obstacle as an opportunity to learn, adapt, and grow both personally and professionally.

Believe in your abilities and never let stereotypes define your future. STEM is not only for men—it is for everyone who is curious, creative, and willing to learn. Do not be afraid of challenges, mistakes, or difficult subjects. Every skill can be developed through practice and persistence. Seek mentors, participate in projects, ask questions, and take every opportunity to learn. The world needs more women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, and your ideas can make a real difference.

You at work

At our school, we promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and sustainability through a variety of educational initiatives. We provide equal learning opportunities for all students, including learners with special educational needs. We encourage girls to participate in STEM activities, coding, robotics, and digital projects. Through international programs, digital citizenship activities, and community engagement projects, we foster respect, collaboration, and cultural understanding. We also support environmental awareness through sustainability projects and responsible use of resources. Our goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and innovative learning environment where every student can succeed.

I am most proud of helping students believe in their abilities and discover their potential through education and technology. One of my greatest achievements was becoming the winner of the Special Nomination “Mathematics Teacher” at Global Teacher Prize Ukraine 2025. This recognition allowed me to transform our school’s STEM environment by equipping it with modern technology, including laptops, an interactive panel, robotics equipment, and a 3D printer. However, my greatest success is seeing students become confident learners, critical thinkers, and active creators of their future.

Your point of view

Technology empowers women by providing access to education, professional opportunities, entrepreneurship, and global networks. It helps women develop new skills, work remotely, start businesses, and participate in innovation regardless of their location or background. Digital technologies also give women a stronger voice, greater independence, and opportunities to become leaders in their communities. By increasing digital literacy and access to STEM education, we can help more women build successful careers and contribute to shaping the future.

Believe in yourself and do not let stereotypes limit your ambitions. Mathematics, technology, and STEM are for everyone who is curious, determined, and willing to learn. Be brave enough to try new things, ask questions, and step outside your comfort zone. Do not be afraid of mistakes—they are part of growth and innovation. Seek mentors, build networks, and take advantage of every learning opportunity. Your ideas, creativity, and leadership can help shape a better future for your community and the world.

By 2030, I would like to see equal access to high-quality STEM and digital education for all learners, regardless of gender, background, location, or abilities. I hope to see more girls and women choosing careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, supported by inclusive learning environments and strong role models. I would also like schools to have better access to modern technologies and resources, ensuring that every student can develop the skills needed for the future. Diversity, equity, inclusion, and sustainability should become a natural part of every educational institution and community.

To finish with

My core values are lifelong learning, integrity, responsibility, respect, empathy, innovation, and collaboration. I believe that education has the power to transform lives and create opportunities. I value curiosity, resilience, and the courage to embrace change while supporting others in their growth and success.

One of my biggest future challenges is keeping pace with the rapid development of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies while ensuring that education remains meaningful, ethical, and human-centered. I want to continue supporting teachers in their professional growth, expanding STEM opportunities for students, and helping young people develop the skills needed for the future. I also hope to strengthen international cooperation and share innovative educational practices beyond my local community.

By 2030, I hope to be recognized as an international advocate for innovative STEM and digital education. I would like to continue mentoring teachers, leading educational projects, and creating learning environments where technology empowers every student. I hope to expand opportunities for girls in STEM, contribute to educational policy and professional development, and inspire educators through sharing best practices nationally and internationally.
